About us
Our mission
iks.haus is an inclusive multimedia platform that makes diversity visible, promotes equality and removes barriers. We create a space where every voice is heard, regardless of origin, language, gender identity, sexual orientation or physical and cognitive abilities.
Our content appears in three languages, German, English and BCS (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian), and is built to be accessible from the ground up: with live subtitles, text to speech, plain language and a consistent accessibility by design approach.
What we do
iks.haus combines editorial journalism with community media. We report on culture, going out, environment, lifestyle, technology, news and astrology, always from the perspective of diversity and inclusion. Our focus is on topics that mainstream media often overlook: mental health, acceptance, neurodiversity, body neutrality, community care and queer life in Vienna and across Austria.

Who we are here for
iks.haus speaks to everyone who stands for an open and inclusive society, and especially to those who are often overlooked in the media landscape:
LGBTQIA+ community queer people in Vienna and Austria who deserve visibility and representation
People with disabilities for whom accessibility is not an extra feature but a basic requirement
Language minorities in particular the BCS diaspora in Austria, who want to be informed and entertained in their own language
Everyone who lives diversity people of every background who are curious, open and in solidarity
Accessibility by design
At iks.haus accessibility is not an afterthought but the foundation of our work. Every piece of content, every function and every design is developed from the outset to be usable by as many people as possible. That includes automatic subtitles, text to speech output, plain language, high contrast presentation and an interface that can be operated entirely by keyboard.
Our studio
Since 1 April 2026 we produce from our studio at Mariahilfer Strasse 49/1/15, 1060 Vienna. This is where our podcasts, vodcasts, interviews and editorial content are made, in the heart of Mariahilf, one of the most diverse districts in Vienna.
